    Eng. Nancy Njeri Mburu
    Eng. Nancy Njeri Mburu – Chairperson of the Board

    Eng. Njeri Mburu is a proven thought and people leader with over 25 years of extensive hands-on experience in Sustainable urban transport (Public Transport/Bus Rapid Transit (BRT), walking and cycling, Roads, Water, and Sewerage infrastructure, and their respective guiding policies.

    She has gained experience in executive positions in public and non-governmental organizations, having been the first County Executive Committee Member (CECM) for Roads, Transport, Public Works, and Utilities in Kiambu County and the Country Manager, Kenya for the Institute for Transportation and Development Policy (ITDP) for four years.

    Through her working experience, Njeri has developed extensive local and international professional networks and exceptional personal credibility in government, public, and private sectors based on her achievements in driving public initiatives and building consensus with stakeholders.

    Eng. Njeri holds a Masters of Transportation Sciences from Hasselt University in Belgium, MBA and BSc. Civil Engineering from University of Nairobi.

    Dr. Erick Manga - Director, CEDRAP Kenya
    Dr. Erick Manga - Director, CEDRAP Kenya

    Dr. Erick Oluoch Manga is a renowned development expert and has authored widely peer reviewed research papers on public transport in Kenya and Africa. He holds a PhD in Development Studies, and is a Resident Commonwealth Scholar Institute of Development Studies (IDS), University of Sussex, Brighton.

    He also holds a Master of Arts in Development Studies, University of Nairobi, Institute for Development Studies (IDS) and Post-Graduate Diploma in Planning and Management of Development Projects, Catholic University of Eastern Africa (CUEA), Nairobi, Kenya.

    Dr. Erick holds a Bachelor of Philosophy, Pontifical Urbaniana University, Rome.

    Mr. Titus Karanja
    Mr. Titus Karanja – CEO, Fintech Frontiers

    Titus is a financial services professional with over 20 years of experience in financial markets ranging from stockbroking, fund management, banking, and corporate finance advisory services. He is the founding Head of African Alliance Securities in Kenya, Head of Co-operative Consultancy Services Ltd, Director of Co-operative Banking Division at Co-operative Bank and Managing Director at Sidian Bank Kenya.

    With a particular bias towards building transaction solutions through the application of technology and creation of partnership networks, he is currently the Managing Partner at Fintech Frontiers and Chief Executive Officer of the Fintech Institute. He is also the Long-Term Expert for the European Investment Bank Technical Assistance Programme for Financial Institutions in East Africa.

    Charles Aholi, Executive Director, NAPTA
    Mr. Charles Aholi – Executive Director/CEO

    Charles is a lawyer with over 8 years’ experience working in the public transportation sector. He holds a Bachelor of Laws from Kenyatta University and a Post Graduate Diploma in Law from the Kenya School of Law. He is currently pursuing a Master of Arts in Leadership and Management at the Management University of Africa.

    He has wide experience in program development and implementation, policy analysis and development, stakeholder engagement, advocacy, support and management.

    Advocate Mary Mukoma
    Ms. Mary Mukoma – Managing Partner, Mukoma & Associates Advocates

    Mary is an advocate of the High Court of Kenya and a Commissioner for Oaths. She holds a Bachelor of Laws from Kenyatta University and a Post Graduate Diploma in LAW from the Kenya School of Law. She is currently pursuing a Master of Laws from the University of Nairobi.

    She has wide experience in commercial, conveyancing and family law. She serves on several boards as non-executive director.

    Ms. Paschalin Basil - Institute for Development Studies, UON
    Ms. Paschalin Basil - Institute for Development Studies, UON

    Paschalin is a PhD student based at the Institute for Development Studies, University of Nairobi. She has a master’s degree in Development Studies and a Bachelor of Education (Arts). She is the Assistant Coordinator of Kenya Transport Research Network (KTRN), a professional network that focuses on transport issues that include research, policy and practice.

    She is a member of the African Network for Walking and Cycling (ANWAC) and she is also an Urban Leaders Global Program fellow. Her current areas of research interest include public transport, informal economy and social protection, and governance.

     

    Mr. John Paul Ochoro – Director Operations, Programs and Administration, NAPTA
    Mr. John Paul Ochoro – Director Operations, Programs and Administration

    John Paul is an insurance and risk management professional with wide experience in operations management, insurance claims analysis and insurance claims process re-engineering. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce from Egerton University and a Post Graduate Diploma in Insurance from College of Insurable Nairobi.

    He is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Laws from Mount Kenya University and Master’s Degree in Ethics and Organizational Leadership from Tangaza University College. He has previously served in different positions in the corporate sector and consults widely on insurance and risk management.
